Join RNN Group at the Autumn Memory Walk
A Special Event for Rotherham Families and Community
This autumn you and your family are warmly invited to the Autumn Memory Walk, a meaningful event brought together by Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity, Barnsley Hospital Charity, and Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospital Charity.
It’s a chance to come together, remember loved ones, enjoy the outdoors – and make a difference. RNN Group is the headline sponsor as we know this is an important event and cause for people across the region.
Event Details
- Date: Sunday 19th October 2025.
- Where: Manvers Lake, Rotherham, S63 7BU.
- Time: Registration opens at 10am; walk begins at 11am (timing may vary a little depending on numbers).
- Distance: 5 km (3.1 miles), gentle route around Manvers Lake so suitable for most ages and fitness levels.
Cost and What You Get
- Adult ticket: £12
- Child (under 15): £8
- Tickets include a t-shirt, medal, and a fundraising pack which gives you ideas and tools if you want to raise money in memory of someone special.
Why Come Along
- A chance to honour and remember someone you miss, in a caring, supportive space.
- After the walk there’ll be an opportunity to write a note to your loved one, stalls, entertainment, and food & drink for purchase.
- All the funds raised (for Rotherham’s charity) go towards the Dementia Appeal, helping support families and services in our area.
How You Can Get Involved
- Sign up together – bring siblings, friends, grandparents, etc.
- Use the fundraising pack to gather sponsorship, if you like (many people find this is a powerful way to remember and celebrate).
- On the day, share stories, wear the walk t-shirt, meet other families – it’s about community as much as the walk.
How to Register / More Info
- Go to the Autumn Memory Walk registration page for Rotherham Hospital & Community Charity and scroll to the bottom of the page to sign up.
- Once registered you’ll receive the fundraising pack via email.
- If you need any help – maybe with ideas on fundraising, or walking with younger children – feel free to ask; many people will be doing the walk at different paces.
It’s not just a walk – it’s a chance to connect, to reflect, and to support those in our community.
Let’s make this Autumn Memory Walk a special day together.
