Beth Hall, PgCE, BSc (Hons)

Lecturer and Higher Education Achievement Coach

Beth is a qualified Education and Professional Development Teacher with a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PgCE) in Lifelong Learning and a BSc (Hons) in Sociology and Criminology. With nearly five years of experience as a Higher Education Achievement Coach, Beth has developed expertise in supporting learner progression through academic interventions, focusing on academic writing, research, referencing and time management. She works closely with curriculum teams to identify and support learners, ensuring their success.

Currently, Beth is also a Lecturer at RNN Group, University Centre Rotherham, where she teaches on the Foundation Degree in Learning Support and BA (Hons) Education and Professional Development programmes, as well as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

Whilst her official teaching experience is approaching one year, Beth has an additional two years of experience from her teacher training placement within the Education and Professional Development team. This combination has allowed her to refine her skills in planning inclusive sessions, providing one-on-one support and developing learner-centred activities.

Beth’s professional approach emphasises creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment, where students feel motivated and confident to develop the skills necessary for academic and personal success.
