After completion of Year 1 and a successful UCAS Application, the course has been designed to enable you to step-off and start Year 1 of a professional degree programmes within Health and Social Care Practice, such as (but not limited to): Nursing (Adult, Child, Mental Health) Midwifery Allied Health Professions Social Work
After completion of Year 2, a successful internal progression interview with Sheffield Hallam University and completion of additional work, the course has been designed to provide you with the opportunity to access specific professional degree programmes (with advanced entry to Year 2), of programmes such as:
Nursing (Adult) – Year 2 Allied Health Professions (Various) – Year 2 Social Work – Year 2 In addition, you could progress onto Year 3 and complete a top-up year at Sheffield Hallam University, to achieve a BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Health and Social Care.
Year 1: Work Based Learning 1: Academic and Practice Reflective and Personal Development Skills Essential Sciences for Person-centred Care Integrated Holistic Assessment and Delivery of Health and Social Care Interventions Year 2: Work Based Learning 2: Academic and Practice Using and Evaluating Evidence to Inform Practice Promoting Health, Wellbeing and Independence Leadership and Management
48 UCAS Points (e.g. A-Levels, Access to HE Diploma, BTEC Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma) GCSE English and Maths at Grade C (4) and above (or equivalent) *Applications may be considered to those who hold equivalent qualifications.
