With three Award levels to choose from, students can take on a challenge that suits their age and experience.

Bronze Award

As the first step into the DofE, students aged 14 and over can complete this level in a minimum of six months. They take part in Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition sections, including a two-day, one-night expedition.

Silver Award

Building on the foundations of Bronze, students can progress to this level from age 15, or from 14 if Bronze has been completed. The increased commitment includes Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition sections, with a three-day, two-night expedition.

Gold Award

Pushing achievement even further, students can take on the highest level from age 16. Alongside Volunteering, Physical, Skills and Expedition sections, they complete a Residential, spending time away from home with a group on a shared activity.
