UCR Welcomes the Civil Service for a Careers Talk
On Wednesday the 8th November, University Centre Rotherham welcomed members from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Home Office to attend a panel to speak about future careers in the Civil Service to our students.
The event started with an explanation on what the civil service is and what it does and the many careers paths students with different qualifications can move into.
The Civil Service is creating a hub in Sheffield which opens a lot of doors for our students in terms of careers and opportunities they may never have thought about.
Continuing the event, the panel answered any questions or debunked myths from our students around opinions on the Civil Service.
The informative event was a great opportunity for our students from a wide range of courses to get new insight into the different career paths they could go into.
